I am thankful to the ACM-W Scholarship Committee and their partners at Google for the generous scholarship that supported my attendance at ACM SIGPLAN SPLASH 2025 in Singapore.

As a researcher whose work is heavily focused on User Experience, SPLASH was a deeply valuable opportunity. It allowed me to engage with the highly technical programming languages community and see “under the hood” of the technologies I design and develop for. I particularly appreciated the chance to share my own design-centric perspective in technical conversations.

A personal highlight was participating in the Student Research Competition. Presenting my UX-focused research at a PL conference was a great experience, and I was absolutely thrilled to win 2nd place in the graduate student category.

The most exciting outcome of the conference, however, was the connections I made. I had several insightful discussions with researchers and fellow students about bridging the gap between our fields. These conversations have already sparked concrete ideas for new interdisciplinary projects, which is a direction I am very curious to pursue.

Thank you once again for making this possible. The conference provided me with a fresh wave of inspiration for my future research and a new network of potential collaborators.
