ICFP/SPLASH 2025 was the very first international conference I attended. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to attend both conferences at once, and I had the chance to meet people from many different backgrounds. As someone with interests in various fields (from programming languages and logic to medicine and genomics), getting exposed to the diverse research at ICFP/SPLASH was invaluable. This was a great opportunity to make and strengthen connections, be inspired, and take a peek at what life in academia would look like. I came out of ICFP/SPLASH with a fresh perspective and new ideas about research questions I’m exploring.
