I was delighted to receive ACM’s support to attend this year’s edition of Highlights of Logic, Games and Automata in Brussels. The conference consisted of a tutorial day, followed by three intensive days of contributed and invited talks. The particular format of this conference, which asks for all participants to present very briefly their favourite piece of work of the year, meant that I got a glimpse of a large range of current research topics. I was pleased to also find colleagues working on questions closely related to my PhD topic with whom I was able to exchange ideas and share our ongoing work. In particular, I have received valuable insight and suggestions on my research. I also had the opportunity to present my own work to my research community and receive helpful feedback and ideas on potential directions to explore. All in all, the conference was enjoyable as well as beneficial for my research.
