Attended IEEE EDUCON 2026
2026, Cairo, Egypt
Thanks to ACM-W, I had the opportunity to attend IEEE EDUCON 2026 and present my paper as a poster presentation. It was my first time presenting research in a poster session, and it was a lovely experience. I enjoyed discussing my work with attendees, answering questions, and receiving feedback from people with different backgrounds and perspectives.
The conference itself was incredibly inspiring. I had the chance to speak with researchers, professors, and educators from around the world, learn about their work, explore new ideas, and discuss important topics in engineering and education. These conversations exposed me to perspectives and opportunities that I had not previously considered.
One of the most valuable outcomes of the conference was the motivation it gave me to continue pursuing opportunities in education and academia. Before attending EDUCON, I had not seriously considered this path, but hearing about the experiences and work of others made me realize how impactful and rewarding it can be. In many ways, this experience felt like a turning point in my academic journey.
Making international connections was also one of the most rewarding aspects of the conference. Being surrounded by passionate and driven people for several days was both motivating and inspiring. Beyond the academic experience, attending the conference was also culturally enriching. During my time in Cairo, I had the opportunity to experience Egyptian culture, learn more about the country’s history and traditions, and interact with people from a different cultural background. This added another meaningful dimension to the trip and made the experience even more memorable.
