I really enjoyed every minute of attending my first conference!
Exciting research directions followed by lively discussions by the world’s foremost experts in the field were just part of the daily routine. My role as a student volunteer kept me proactive most of the time, allowing me to learn so much about the community and make connections. In fact, meeting new people was perhaps one of my favorite aspects of the conference. Apart from that I was able to hear about the opportunities for students such as summer schools and workshops throughout the whole year that were provided by the community.
I got to explore the charming seaport district of Boston right outside the doors of the conference venue. The area’s many world leading colleges and universities, notably Harvard and MIT and the historic sites all competed the rest of my time.
