In March 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the 18th Conference of the European Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics (EACL) in St. Julians, Malta. There, I presented the poster for my paper titled “MEnTr@LT-EDI-2024: Multilingual Ensemble of Transformer Models for Homophobia/Transphobia Detection” at the Language Technology for Equality, Diversity, Inclusion (LT-EDI) workshop. The conference was attended by some of the most esteemed researchers in the field of Natural Language Processing from around the world, who not only shared their cutting-edge research but also graciously listened to my work. Attending such a prestigious event like EACL 2024 was a dream come true, made possible by the generous funding provided by ACM-W, to whom I am immensely grateful.
