My participation in GECCO 2013 was without a doubt a very constructive experience which went far beyond my expectations as a graduate student.

The attendance of tutorials and workshops presented by experts in the field of Evolutionary Computation, the discussion with my ACM-W mentor and the interaction with international senior researchers provided me with valuable feedback and certainly impacted my research in a very positive way. The ACM-W meeting was an extremely interesting and pleasant occasion. It brought us, women researchers in challenging male-dominated fields, together and reminded us that together we can do more!
