Attended Supercomputing Conference
2017, Denver, Colorado, United States
The Supercomputing Conference held at Denver, CO in November was a place where I found many enthusiastic people in the HPC world. I learnt about the options one has for a career in HPC in some of the best companies. I was also glad to meet some of the biggest vendors and engage in interesting conversations about their products and how I can contribute to them. The conference also had some very motivating and interesting keynote sessions. As a part of the Science Gateways Research Center at Indiana University, Bloomington, I also got the chance to meet with our clients as well as potential clients and discuss about our product – Apache Airavata with them. I also attended some Papers including Scaling Deep Learning on GPU and Knights Landing Clusters and Panels including Common Big Data Challenges in Bio, Geo, Climate, and Social Sciences. Not to forget, I loved all the swag from the company exhibits I visited. I would definitely attend the conference again next year in Dallas.
