CHI 2023 was my first year attending the event. I attended as practitioner in the space of UX and as an attendee, not having anything to present myself. Most of the individuals I interacted with were pursing graduate degrees and were speaking on their research; I found that the conference gives a lot of room to the academic space. In the future, I hope that more industry experts would partake, as there are several interesting concepts that are being explored in the area. I found that there were somethings I could take back to my on workplace from the conference, especially in some of the emerging areas around AI.
