Through the support of the ACM-W Scholarship, I attended the SIGCSE Technical Symposium from February 18–21, 2025. As a PhD student researching inclusive computing education, SIGCSE TS offered a valuable opportunity to engage with the computing education community, network with researchers from other institutions, and gain new insights in my field.

The opening keynote by Dr. Amy J. Ko on “Love, Learning, and Computing Education” was a conference highlight. She advocated for centering unconditional, student-affirming love in computing education—a philosophy that resonates with my culturally affirming codesign work with students. The closing keynote by Titus Winters reinforced that character and soft power remain essential as AI reshapes computing.

Technical sessions on agentic AI provided knowledge I am hoping to apply in my upcoming co-design sessions. I also volunteered at SIGCSE’s paper sessions and tutorials, deepening my engagement with the community. Networking with students and faculty and connecting with organizations in the exhibit hall expanded my professional network and introduced me to resources and fellowship opportunities I plan to pursue. I am grateful to ACM-W for making this experience possible.
