I was very fortunate to be able to attend EuroSys 2023 from May 8-12 in Rome, Italy. It is a premier conference in systems research, and attending it gave me exposure to advances in systems research across a wide variety of domains. Additionally, I presented my work both as a poster and a short talk at the EuroSys Doctoral Workshop and got helpful feedback on my research. I enjoyed and benefited from many activities at the doctoral workshop including the keynote talk on How to do a Systems PhD, lightning talks from other graduate students and mentorship discussions. Through the conference, I enjoyed meeting and networking with several graduate students and researchers from all over the world and exchanging ideas about various topics. I also had a great time exploring Rome for a couple of days after the conference. This is the first international conference I’ve been able to attend because I started my graduate studies during the pandemic, and I’m very grateful to ACM-W for the scholarship and support.
