News from ACM-W Student Chapters

We are delighted to announce that the winner of our Best Officer Contest is Sukriti Paul who founded the ACM-W student chapter at Manipal IT.

We are also happy to announce the winner of our best Facebook post contest is the ACM-W Chapter at the University of Central Florida. This chapter designed a team-building exercise that sounds like loads of fun: a CS-themed escape room!  Watch our web page for more details on how you can develop an escape room for your chapter. The UCF chapter wins $250 to celebrate their achievement.

Runner up winners in the FB post contest include chapters at the North South University in Bangladesh, Mount Holyoke College, the University of California at Los Angeles, BVCOE in Delhi, and the UPV Chapter from Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria Informàtica.  Each of these chapters wins $100. We loved seeing all of your posts. Keep up the great work!

Finally, we want to welcome Rachel Chesley as a new member of the ACM-W Student Chapter Committee of the ACM-W Council. Rachel is a former president of the UNCC ACM-W student chapter and now a working professional. She also designed the art for our ACM-W stickers. Rachel is developing our new social media campaign. Stay tuned for details!
