Tracy Camp
Tracy Camp received a B.A. degree in Mathematics from Kalamazoo College in 1987, an M.S. degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University in 1989, and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from The College of William and Mary in 1993.
Tracy is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences at the Colorado School of Mines. Her main field of research is in the area of mobile computing and networking; her research group is called The Toilers.
She is, currently, the PI of three grants and a co-PI of two grants totaling approximately $1.5 million in federal funding. In addition, she is the co-author of an educational toolkit that has been used at more than 60 universities in 25 countries. She was the co-chair of ACM-W from 1998 to 2002, and has appeared in over 15 newspaper/magazine articles for her work on ACM-W.
