Keywords: education, stereotypes, enrollment in classes and camps
Annotation: Jane Margolis is conducting a study on why females stick with or abandon studies that lead to a career in IS. Based on interviews with women at Carnegie Mellon, women still feel that there is a stereotype towards the "SuperNerd Male Hacker". Margolis is starting by running institutes for AP computer science high school teachers which will hopefully increase the percentage of girls taking the AP test up from 16 percent.
