My conference experience provided valuable insights. I was able to practice my public speaking skills and gain experience presenting and answering questions in front of a research based audience. During the conference I met a lot of different people completing different types of research, which is valuable for networking as well as future collaboration opportunities. I also got helpful feedback on my research, which will aid me in developing further research questions. I believe going to conferences is very beneficial to learning more about the research committee, and aids in practicing vocalizing research questions. This experience will help me in future research and paper presentations. Also, this networking opportunity allowed me to meet people who are influential in my research community. Overall, I am very grateful for the opportunity to attend and present at the conference.
