Chris is the Acting Director of of ACM's Computer Science Teacher's Association and a doctoral student in the Teaching Leadership program at Oregon State University. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University, and a masters of Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Her research in divided between computer science pedagogy and telecommunications for special student populations. Chris is the current Chair of the ACM K12 Education Taks Force and the former President of the Association for Computer Studies Educators (ACSE). She is also a former president of the International Society for Technology in Education's Computer Science SIG. She has written for numerous educational publications and edited and written a number of high school textbooks. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Journal of Computer Science Education.
