After working for government and private organizations for more than a decade, and feeling the need for well-rounded computer programmers, she decided to be an instructor of programming. Since 1988, Reyyan Ayfer has taught various computer science courses including programming, database systems, computer organization, computer architecture, systems development. Currently, she is the chair of Computer Technology and Programming Department and Director of the Publications Office of the university. Observing the decrease in the number of female students, she decided to initiate a study to increase attention of female students.
