Project: Ambassador Program

ACM is an international organization and issues related to women in computing affect women worldwide. Thus ACM-W has developed its Ambassador Program. Started in 1999, this program identifies one to two computer scientists in a targeted country to become ACM-W Ambassadors. Through funding provided by ACM-W, the ambassadors' initial activities are to provide ACM-W with information on programs, conferences, organizations, and people that are involved in solving the issues related to women in computing. This is achieved through a website the ambassador develops that describes the programs and activities in his or her country. To view current ACM-W Ambassador Sites, click on the world map below.
